($32) Full red-ruby. Sauvage, low-toned aromas of plum, meat, smoke, coffee, leather and pepper, with a suggestion of burning tobacco. Then supple but fresh in the mouth, with enticing texture and sweetness. Intriguing notes of pepper, herbs and slightly exotic woodsmoke. Slow-mounting finish features fine tannins.
