2 stars Points | International Wine Cellar , November/December 2002

($88 for 375 ml.) On the 15th of December, in a steep slope with old vines, the Selbachs captured an Eiswein that can stand with their monumental trio from 1998. Baked cherry pie with brown spices and an Eiswein-typical overtone of radish and chili peppers. The palate features a gravity-defying density and unfathomable depths of pit fruit and slate. The acids express themselves as a sort of electrocharged sea of citrus, held in check only by massive amounts of sheer extract. 2 stars.
