90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - May/June 2004

($39) Slightly medicinal aromas of redcurrant, cedar, cigar box and mint. Juicy and nicely delineated in the mouth, with redcurrant, tobacco, mineral and floral flavors. Offers good freshness and length. The flavors are claret-like, dry and adult, but the tannins are nicely ripe. Includes a trace of malbec (1%) for the first time. An excellent vintage for this bottling.

Parker gave this a 94? Well, that's what my friend who ordered it told me. Flat with less flavor than I expected. Not a particularly long finish. Overrated.
