($37) Pale copper color. Aromas of earth, smoke, toffee and cream soda. Intensely flavored and a bit sweet, with somewhat evolved flavors of red berries and toast. Has a heaviness in a way that most Champagnes from only red grapes do. Use this at the table as you would a maturing red Burgundy. (Jeroboam Wines, New York, NY)
