When they tell you to decant an old first growth for 7 hours or more, just do it! Although 83 is not 82 when it comes to Bordeaux, this was quite an experience. After 2-3 hours the wine was good but not as impressive. However, after more than 7 hours, the real experience began…The wine was full, round, smooth with long finish, lots of leather and dark berries. It was wonderful by itself and well integrated when accompanied by a medium-rare steak (salt and pepper only). Definitely a good way to celebrate one’s 40th b-day (right, Ofer?)
