($40) Deep red. Roasted raspberry, strawberry, pepper, spices and exotic dried herbs on the nose. Suave and lively in the mouth, with red fruit and garrigue flavors framed by ripe acidity. Spicy and perfumed in the mouth, with enticing but restrained sweetness. Finishes very fresh and persistent, with fine-grained tannins. Delicious already.

Wine Spectator 93 points!!

Wine Spectator 93 points!! Another great negoce red from Guigal. This old-fashioned, full-bodied wine seduces with its decadent game, saddle-leather, plum and sauteed wild mushroom aromas. No hint of fancy oak here, fortunately, so just a mouthful of Chateauneuf character that swirls around to a long, sweet finish. Drink now through 2008. - P.M.
Never bet against a Guigal

Delicious, glycerin-laden, balanced, yummy Chateauneuf. Serve this to anyone cognizant. They will love it.
Long live the Southern Rhone!
Disipointing For Guigal

Traditional style rhone but with a very slight nasty over tone of that bottle of bordeux you'r dad kept because it was old and French, that you drank When you were Twelve. Suprising concidering the ratings. First few Sips were O.K.
then got progresivly worse. (I NEED A DECANTER)
Or then again even that wont'n help this one.
Really not that impressed!

Considering the ratings, we thought this would be great. It did get better after it breathed for a few hours, and possibly would have been great if decanted originally.
Consistant yet NOT Complex

This brand is a good consistant name. they've pin-pointed the american palate, but for the price, it's easy to search for something with more character and roundness, try Domaine du Banneret for example. Thats a wine. and you can find it at Canal's as well.
that was then

Another mistake. This wine was near perfect 3 years ago. Now it is undrinkable. Did Rhones ever used to crash this quickly?
