It is a good all around wine. I'm always up for trying new stuff but this one I know is "safe" and I always go back to.
Still an Exceptional Value
Don't be fooled by Yellow Tail's commonplace appearance and modest price... their Merlot is a fine example of why these wines are so popular... lots of jammy characters here, backed up by soft tannins and a very smooth, enjoyable finish... by no means an A-List Merlot, the Yellow Tail is, however, a crowd pleaser that more than delivers for its ostensibly "cheap" price tag... good to have on hand for parties and quiet nights in...

Very nice for the price
Try Gumdale Merlot or Hardys Merlot. So far I like Gumdale the best out of the three for the price range for a merlot under $10.00. This is a nice wine to have on hand at the house, nice for a gift.
This is a great, reliable Merlot that is always great and the price can't be beat! Plenty of aroma and smooth.
Not drinking as much Merlot these days, as Ive developed more of a taste for Cabs, but this is my "go to" Merlot. Always dependable and easy on the wallet.
Yellow Tail offers a great value for the money, across all of its line. The Merlot is big and bold, easily palatable by a wide audience, making this a great wine to keep on hand for impromptu occasions and serving with a variety of foods.
