Bright ruby. Toasty, exotic oak aromas of sandalwood, clove and cinnamon accent bright, primal red berry, licorice candy and wild cherry aromas. Juicy and well-structured, with lively flavors of wild strawberry, cranberry and redcurrant and no undue weight. Finishes taut and firm, the oak spice creeping in but not at the expense of the bright, crisp red fruit. I'd have never picked this as coming from Barossa.
