2001 Domaine Dirler-Cade Gewurztraminer Kessler

This family-owned domain, with 45 aces in the warmer southern end of Alsace, has been farming biodynamically since 1998, and they've been certified since 2007. They are best known for dry, classically structured, mineral-rich wines. Dirler's slow-developing wines are typically suggestive of citrus and orchard fruits but also display stronger soil tones than most in the region.
