Freakish wine. This vintage needs 72 hours in a decanter to peak. An absolute monster. Completely backward and tight out of the bottle, a couple hours open does not even begin to phase it. Will age for decades.

The nose on this wine is incredible, the flavors are complex and elegant, fresh and ripe. I would rate this wine 95 points, with great aging potential. (This refers to the Serpico Irpinia Aglianico)

I took Gary's advice and let the bottle open for about two hours before drinking. Boy, was it worth the wait. In a word...elegant! Silky texture, beautiful nose and flavorful to boot. Another one I closed my eyes and bought a case for the cellar...
