($12): Cassis, violet, dark chocolate and sexy oak tones on the nose. Sweet and spicy, with a strong component of chocolatey torrefaction. The tannins are suave and the finish reasonably persistent, but the oak element turned a bit drier with aeration. (Kysela Pere & Fils, Winchester, VA)
