($56) Dark ruby. Sexy, oak-inflected aromas of blackberry, kirsch, mocha and roasted coffee. Deep, velvety and sweet, with candied red fruit and darker berry flavors. This gains in firmness on the finish, displaying dusty tannins and concentrated cherry and berry flavors. Modern in style, but only a curmudgeon couldn't enjoy this.
