Good bright, deep ruby. Knockout nose combines black raspberry, plum, mocha, minerals, and smoky, nutty oak. Lush, sweet and voluptuous, but with fruit of steel. Wonderfully dense, thick but vibrant wine that mounts impressively on the back half and saturates the palate with fruits, minerals and spices. One of the longest Spanish wines of my recent tastings and a great example of this outstanding vintage. .

Visually concentrated, this wine possesses an equally impressive nose consisting of deep black cherry, cedar, earth, and youthful spice. It immediately takes control of the mouth with a forceful presence. An intense saturation of fruit gives way to gripping, moderately intense tannins on the mid to back palate. The finish has tremendous persistence with a clear purpose. This wine is drinking quite well at present, but will most likely hit its prime between 2009 and 2011
