($35; the Trimbachs had not yet decided whether this would get the Ribeaupierre designation) Smoky, oily aromas of meat and clove. Rich and spicy but quite dry, with a chewy impression of extract. This seems to have recovered more quickly from the bottling than the basic gewurztraminer. Nicely fruity and full but also does not show the inner-mouth perfume of a top year for this variety.
