2002 Cakebread Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

11% Merlot; 2% Cabernet Franc. While still quite young and undeveloped in its aromas, this nicely structured, medium-full-bodied wine exhibits plenty of fruit in its surprisingly accessible flavors. If very easy to taste, it is no simple quaffer meant for near-term gulping, and its combination of careful construction and deceptive depth mark it as one deserving of three to five years of further aging.
