($55) Bright ruby. Scented aromas of cherry, currant, cedar and tobacco, with exotic oak spices emerging as the wine opened in the glass. At once vinous and creamy, with sexy currant, chocolate and tobacco flavors. Lush and seamless for the vintage, finishing with broad, toothdusting tannins and lingering sweetness. This cuvee includes all of the estate's best fruit in 2002-i.e., there's no special PS bottling. . (European Cellars, Charlotte, NC)
