92(+?)? Points | International Wine Cellar , September/October 2005

($314) Saturated ruby-red. Sexy, slightly high-toned aromas of superripe black cherry, cassis and smoky oak, lifted by garrigue-like roasted herbs. Insinuating flavors of roasted black fruits, mocha and charred oak; as much soil- as fruit-driven. Today the wine's acids are a bit intrusive, giving the finish a youthfully hard edge. Will this become more pliant with bottle aging? Impeccably made wine, but without the sheer depth and generosity of a top year. . (Fine Estates From Spain, Dedham, MA)
