About Jean-Marc & Hugues Pavelot
Jean-Marc Pavelot, now joined by his son Hughes, maintains what is arguably the top estate in the underappreciated village of Savigny-lès-Beaune...
89(+?) Points | International Wine Cellar , March/April 2005
($33) Medium red, a bit less saturated than the Guettes and Narbantons. Initially sauvage, leathery nose showed fresher fruit perfume as it opened in the mouth. Then less sweet and more penetrating and stony in the middle palate, with a serious, chewy texture and nicely integrated acids. Finishes with fine tannins and very good length. Needs five years.
