The second of Ratzenberger's three 2002 Eisweins is set in a candy shop. Lemon-honey drops, orange liqueur and candied pineapple abound. There is a cleansing clarity of acidity here, not at all grating or sharp, that ideally compliments the tiny-berried, honeyed, liquid-perfume fruit concentration. Less dynamic but even longer and certainly closer to a perfection of balance than the A. P. #3. 2 stars.
