(from a steep, south-facing vineyard of 15-year-old vines that produced a tiny crop; 15% alcohol with 3. 5 grams/liter residual sugar) Deep yellow. Reticent nose hints at yellow fruits, clove and nutmeg, with hints of minerals and honeyed surmaturite Sweet, supple and layered, with pliant flavors of honey and spice. Will depend more on its minerality than its acidity for structure and aging potential. Finishes with noteworthy length. An excellent showing considering that the wine was bottled two weeks prior to my visit.
