($60) Good fresh dark red. Explosive aromas of sweet cherry, coffee and toasty oak. Sweet, fat, broad and easygoing but with good tension for the vintage. Can't match the 2004 or 2005 for complexity and freshness of flavor, but this boasts a suave texture. Finishes with dusty tannins and some vanillin oak. I'd give this another year or two in bottle before pulling the cork.
