a perfect Saint Estephe...it is always a surprise to find a French wine of this 'young' vintage that is 'drinkable' and balanced without without decanting...AND a good value

Rave reviews at our anniversary party..impressive to your average wine drinker. Best if aired out a bit but you and your guests will not be disappointed.

THIS IS A VERY GOOD REPRESENTATION OF A LEFT BANK WINE FROM A GOOD VINTAGE...LOCATION OF THIS CHATEAU AND IT'S PRICE MAKES THIS ST.ESTEPHE A GREAT VALUE.I WOULD RECOMMEND INCLUDING AT LEAST A DOZEN BOTTLES OF THE 2005 VINTAGE IN YOUR CELLAR.I ENJOYED IT WITH GRILLED MEATS AND VEGGY WITH LOTS OF SPICES.IT IS A 91/100 FROM ME.
loved it!

strong aroma and flavor of currants, full-bodied, strong tannins, long finish, velvey texture. This was a very enjoyable wine, but it would probably be even better after a few years of softening. My wife didn't like it as much due to the strong tannins.
Good wine !!! But.....

This is wonderful steak wine at a very very I mean very reasonable price... You will get best out of this wine by having it with steak !!! You can usually get this wine at little over $20. But The Total Wine store sell it at $40... Not right. Bring the price down so many people can enjoy this wine which makes so much sense...

I found this wine to be very earthy with a lot of sediment. Bitter as well. I think this bottle might have gone bad, but if it didn't.....
