($60-$70) Ruby-red. Roasted blackberry, coffee and mocha on the nose, along with a grapey quality. Fat, superripe and sweet; wonderfully full, sexy and broad. Just this side of exotic, but sound natural acidity gives shape to the thick, mellow dark berry and chocolate flavors. Finishes with substantial tannins and resounding length. This will be drinkable several years earlier than the 2005.

A Real French Beauty
by blanco11941720
This is serious wine built for the long haul. The wine is very dense, highly perfumed, deeply fruited with lots of fine tannins. This is very fine wine and excellent value. Needs at least 10yrs to really strut its stuff
Monumental Pauillac

Incredible wine!!! Superb fruit and concentration. More than a wine. Impressive finish. Cassis fruit everywhere. So beautifully balanced .a huge wine with a feather lightness. My vocabulary runs out to describe this beauty.

Had a split of this last night. Decanted for only an hour or so. Thick and dense purple. Alluring aromas Steve describes way better than I that run deep. Sensuous mouthfeel and finishes slightly tannicky. Either more decanting or more time in bottle would seem to cure. Damn good stuff at somewhat reasonable Bordeaux pricing!
