Red-ruby. Aromas of kirsch, currant, chocolate, licorice and mint, with more of an impression of mineral spine than its stablemate Langoa-Barton. Wonderfully ripe, rich and sweet. A fruit bomb in 2003, with deep black cherry and currant flavors complicated by leather and minerals. The wine's chocolatey tannins reach the molars. Every bit as impressive as it appeared to be a year ago.
