2003 Talley Vineyards Pinot Noir Estate Arroyo Grande Valley

Curiously, the Talley family has a more prominent reputation for vegetable farming in Arroyo Grande than they do for grape growing. Their family vineyards are the source of grapes used by several other top Central Coast producers, but some of the best wines are made right here. These are nicely focused, medium-bodied wines that never lack for fresh fruit flavor; the best releases show subtle wild notes of smoked meat, minerals, mocha and earth.
