($48) Bright ruby-red. High-toned aromas of black raspberry, blueberry, pepper and sandalwood show almost grenache-like sweetness. Bright and high-pitched on the palate, with a restrained sweetness and moderate flesh. Flavors of raspberry and pepper are firmed by an edge of acidity. Finishes with dusty, slightly drying tannins and a note of bitter chocolate. Rather idiosyncratic cabernet.
