Cabernet Franc too often comes with disqualifying astringency, but this rich, very ripe and abundantly oaked offering manages its tannins exceptionally well, and it is much more mannerly than most. It is beginning to pick up a bit of layering even now, and there are good signs that it will get better if allowed to rest for another three or four years.

I drank this wine in 2007, so it was a bit early, but the tannins were really smooth. It was fruity on the palette and had a fruity nose - definitely comparable to some young St. Emilion.
