($115) Dark ruby with a purple rim. Superripe scents of licorice, espresso, raspberry liqueur, strawberry preserves, mocha and licorice candy. This is remarkably supple and round on the palate, with plush, sweet red berry notes that are reminiscent of ripe, high-class pinot noir. Silky-smooth and lush on the finish, the tannins barely noticeable.
