Best red wine I've had for under ten bucks and better than many that are much more $$$. A very smooth Shiraz.
A great inexpensive Syrah

The 2005 Syrah is a great bottle of wine not only for the price ($5.99) but the quality is outstanding. A very smooth and drinkable Syrah with some spice notes but lots of candied (not sweet) red berry flavors.
Great inexpensive shiraz

Columbia Crest is one of the best wineries in the country in my opinion. If you consider the price point they can't be beat. All of their wines are consistently good and one or another is almost always in WS 100 Best of the Year. This Shiraz has been rated in the 90s in some yrs. as have several other of their wines. They are consistently rated 85+.

Medium bodied with good fruit flavors. Not much spice or length.
