($12; 100% verdejo) Bracing aromas of lemon, grapefruit pith, white pepper, mint and tarragon; conveys an impression of dusty minerality. Then fairly rich and spicy, with citrus and licorice flavors. This has real presence and density for a white wine in this price range. Finishes with a slightly sauvignon-like bitterness that should work with fresh shellfish. Should develop nicely in bottle for a couple of years. (Fine Estates From Spain Dedham MA)
