($22; a blend of 43% cabernet franc, 29% merlot, 23% cabernet sauvignon and 5% petit verdot) Medium red. Expressive aromas of plum, wild raspberry and coffee. Silky and intense, with slightly rustic wild berry flavors. Offers excellent fruit intensity and volume. The very persistent finish features substantial, building tannins that coat the mouth. This was aged in about 40% new barrels, including a bit of American oak. An outstanding value.
