About Antoniolo
Gattinara sits in the northern part of Piedmont, and, while maintaining a lower profile than the Langhe to the south, this region is the source of light but graceful Nebbiolo that occasionally approach the structure and concentration of their more famous cousins. Antoniolo is the most ambitious producer in the appellation, making densely packed, rich wines with greater-than-normal floral and mineral complexity. The Castelle is aged in barriques.
