Would be a good value at twice the price, ridiculously cheap at 10 bucks. Well above-average.

It's a shame this 2006 was bad (spoiled). I poured it out after a few sips. I tried a good bottle (2006) at a restaurant and, unfortunately, paid the restaurant mark-up. It wasn't worth that price (~$40) but is definitely worth $10 retail. It should be decanted. It's medium to full-bodied, well-balanced, has pleasant oak and dark fruit. I'd purchase again.
Great Value

This wine is a great deal. Execellent balance, nice straight foward fruit and a touch of wood. If you are looking for Malbec, this is where you should start. Blackberry, mocha and delicious sweet tanins. Drink now.

The 2007 is nothing short of delicious. Indeed, this is an unusually superior wine for such little cost.
2007 GOOD FOR THE PRICE!

An average wine that I rated at 2.5 stars. The only positive aspect of this wine is, 'you can't beat the price.' Don't expect to be wowed as it is an average wine with no real characteristic. I would not recommend this one to the WTC (Wine Tasters Club).
Not Bad At This Price

This is a nice Malbec and you can't beat the price.

About Argentina

Until the early 1990s, Argentina's wine industry was focused inward, as the local market's thirst was sufficient to absorb the huge quantities of everyday drinking wine produced there. But with per-capita consumption in the domestic market in sharp decline since the mid-1970s, Argentina's wine producers realized that they had to look to export markets to remain in business, and winemaking in Argentina began its transformation.

Malbec

The Malbec grape may have originated in southwest France, where it still is grown under the name Cot. However, the grape's international profile has surged not because of what's going on in France, but rather because of current trends in Argentina.
