Deep red. Primary red berry and cherry aromas are complemented by Asian spices, potpourri and anise. Seemingly tannin-free, with deep, sweet red fruit flavors and an exotic candied floral quality. Much fresher than it tasted a few years ago, with vivid raspberry and cherry fruit clinging to the persistent finish. I underestimated this wine on release when I scored it 92 points.
