($50) Dark ruby. Assertively oaky aromas of cherry preserves, dark plum, sweet vanilla, coconut and bitter chocolate. Lush, round and open-knit, with dark berry and strong oak spice flavors lingering through the sweet finish. I'd drink this extroverted wine on the early side, as the oak may well outrun the fruit.
