($30; 68% syrah, 22% grenache and 10% mourvedre) Medium-deep red. Superripe, slightly high-toned aromas of black cherry, pepper and smoke. Powerful, structured wine, with slightly aggressive black cherry and pepperflavors. Not especially fruity or sweet. The wine's sound acids come largely from the grenache, says Trevisan. Savory finish features dusty tannins.
