($40-$55) Deep red-ruby. Black raspberry, cedar, tar and nutty oak on the nose, with hints of truffle and underbrush. Broad, silky and quite dry; classic understated claret that's a bit youthfully tight today. The broad tannins are nicely buffered by the wine's mid-palate material. Finishing flavors of red berries, tobacco and smoky oak.
