Always on the hunt for a good port, I found this in a wine shop in Saratoga Springs, NY. The WA rating of 93 caught my eye and, expecting to find a price I couldn't afford, was astounded to see it for under $11! lt is light but not too much so, nicely sweet, fruity, and smother than one would expect.

I'm NOT a typical fan of Ports, HOWEVER, I have been subjected to MANY of them, "by way of my friends who are dessert wine officianados. That being said, THREE of my "PORT FRIENDS" gathered for a "TASTE-OFF"--and we BLIND-TASTED SIX different PORTS, side by side, to determine the TOP THREE. Well, they ranged in price from $10.00 to $129.00...and the winner was.........(drum roll).............UNANIMOUSLY...........................................................................................JONESY! Seriously, this PORT is just like drinking FIGS and DATES. PURE....SIMPLE....DELICIOUS...and accordinug to ROBERT PARKER, it achieved a "93" RATING...and, I read where the AVERAGE AGE of the PORTS "in the mix" are 45 YEARS OLD! ABSOLUTELY THE BEST BUY OF--NOT ONLY ANY PORT--BUT ANY WINE IN THE MARKETPLACE! There isn't another ROPERT PARKER, WA, "93 RATED WINE" for $10.99 in the marketplace.

tasted this and thought it was a much more expensive port. Nice fire - did not come across as syrupy sweet to me (some of the reviews seem inclined to this description). Average age of blend is 46years, and it shows. At this price i have a new favorite tawny...

Smooth. light, almost delicate. It is one of the best values in port to cross my lips. Have some walnuts and a pleasant cheese on hand.

Nice, full raisin and carmel blend, aromas true to the palate. It made me think there was more complexity coming, but a fairly quick finish left me ready for another sip just a bit too soon. But for the price, I'd be a fool to complain. In the winter though, given the choice, I'll still lean across the table for the Yalumba Museum Reserve Muscat.
