Red-ruby. Full-blown nose offers crystallized blackberry, blueberry and violet, with a musky element of dark chocolate. Then sappy, creamy and sweet, with high-toned spice character and almost exotic berry cocktail flavors giving the wine compelling inner-mouth aromatic character. Very ripe for a wine from Cathy Corison but with plenty of verve. Finishes with substantial building tannins and excellent length. This one should evolve in bottle for a decade or more.
