($55) Bright ruby-red. Aromas of currant, raspberry, dark chocolate and sweet oak. Supple and fruity, with good energy to the bitter cherry and spicy oak flavors. Finishes dry and persistent, with firm tannins and an impression of energy. (I liked the juicy currant, mocha and game notes of the 2004 Reserve Dulcet but found the spicy oak a bit overbearing on the back, while the 2004 Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon was overpowered by its oak-driven tannins.)
