Let it breathe

I loved it the first few times, then I let it breathe in a decanter for almost two hours. Richer, more mature, full in the mouth. Fantastic!
At this price, this wine is a bargain

Very rounded wine, true Bordeaux-like, smooth but with character

This is a unique wine. It is fun to drink and will pair well with lots of BIG food. We had it with Indonesian shish-kabob, and it was ready for the party. Everyone loved it.
Easy drinking Bordeaux blend

Wasn't sure what to expect but found this to be a beautiful, well structured wine with no hard edges. Good dark berry flavors with the right amount of tannins so you don't have to cellar this and hope it turns out right. Great Bargin from WineAccess!

This was a very good value. The wine is very good just for sipping or with a meal. Smooth, rich - very good.

Really liked this wine, it was very drinkable. Not too heavy but still rich and smooth. I had to track down some more of it and managed to find it at a similar price although most retailers have it at a significantly higher price.
I only wish I had bought more

The description was spot-on for this wine if a bit conservative. It is an unbelievable bargain. It is sad that Havens is no more. Anyone with this amount of talent will land somewhere and will produce great wines.
I just wish I bought 6 cases!
Wonderful wine - hits the spot perfectly

A great California Bordeaux style red. If you are skeptical of such things, try this one!

This wine blew me away. Wonderful raspberry and tabacco flavors. Plenty of structure but it never intrudes on the finish. My favorite of 09.

I've been a wine access customer for several years, appreciative of finding labels hard to come by any other way -- even in a major metropolitan area. I was intrigued by the description of Havens Red. Tonight, I opened my first bottle, let it breathe, inhaled the intriguing aroma, and then felt the taste explode on my palate. For me, this is the experience that rates: Love It! I only wish I had bought more. So I will savor the other bottles I do have, gradually over the years. Thank you, wine access.

Rich and suave, with that lovely cab franc bouquet peeking through, but will be even better in 1 year.

enjoyed this with a friend and did not stop until the bottle was empty. Tanzer's review was right on and truly loved the flavour's that came thru.

I opened a bottle with friends for a Christmas party - all six gone by the end of the evening. I was disappointed that I had shared this exquisite wine.

Heavenly Havens

This is a great blended wine which was one of the better tasting wines I have consumed this year. Rather than a bunch of fluffy talk (I'm a Texan) I had purchased this 2004 Havens early in the year, tasted it, and then was offered another chance to purchase more and jumped on it. Enough said.

Needs more time.

While this wine has promise it is too heavy for my taste right now. I wouldn't have compared it to cheval blanc, but it has promise
