Arroyo Grande Valley. There is a slightly similar bias to tropical fruit as shared by its cellarmate from the Rincon Vineyard, and this wine again shows more range and depth in the mouth than its youthful aromas predict. It is cut off by a touch of coarseness just now as oak and acids come into play at the finish, but it has plenty of stuffing and, like its mate, it seems certain to benefit by a year of two of further age.

Straw-gold color. Subtly leesy aromas of citrus skin and minerals. Sweet and supple in the middle palate, with enticing pear and iodine notes, as well as a primary grapey nuance. Full without being at all heavy. Finishes with a whiplash of flavor.
