($30; aged in all new barrels) Saturated ruby. Superripe aromas of blackberry and blueberry syrup and walnut, plus a strong oaky component. A dense, thick fruit bomb with superb sweetness and considerable power. But this big, chewy, somewhat rustic wine is also a tannic monster. Officer says: "wine should be food." Or pair this with rare brontosaurus steak.
