($25; a blend of grenache, mourvedre and syrah) Deep red. Aromatic nose melds exotic black cherry, black pepper and licorice. Sweet, creamy and full in the mouth, with sound acidity. The dominant zinfandel component of this site is typically high in acidity while the mourvedre contributes notes of tree bark, mace and meat. Finishes with lovely fruit and lingering spice character.
