($28; made from the portion of the crop that was previously sold off) Good full ruby-red. Aromas of black cherry, blackberry and tobacco. Not complex or particularly deep but sweet, fruit-driven and rather generous. The substantial tongue-dusting tannins arrive late, allowing the fruit a chance to linger. In recent years Dehlinger has been working with yeast strains that are supposed to reduce the vegetal character of cabernet.
