($25) Inky ruby. Pungent, almost medicinal aromas of bitter cherry, blackberry, iodine, violet and lavender. Fat, round and extracted, the rich dark berry, tobacco and espresso flavors well framed by dusty, fine-grained tannins. Long and sweet on the finish.
