($29; for 375 ml.) Full gold. Potent apricot, peach, floral honey and toffee aromas display more power than the 2005, with a brisk mineral quality adding energy. Fat, round and sweet but also lively, showing a range of candied pit fruit flavors and impressive depth. Plump, broad and impressively persistent sweet wine, with vanilla and baking spices clinging to the finish. At least as good as the 2005, but showing more power than finesse today.
