($50; from the 2003 harvest; half of this blend is Condrieu from Yves Cuilleron, and thus the wine is not entitled to carry a vintage on the label) Medium yellow. Exotic aromas of apricot and apricot skin. Fat, broad and very dry, with an exoticflavor of apricot nectar. A very rich viognier with just enough acidity to maintain its balance. Really fat with fruit, and a bit warm on the end. Normal ly, the addition of some Condrieu would add acidity and floral lift to the riper Sanford & Benedict viognier, but not the Condrieu fromFrance 's roasted summer of 2003.
