I tried this because it was a rated by the Wine Spectator. I was glad I did...I have a difficult time with some reds and this is one cab I could actually drink without problems...I like it a bit chilled though...room temperature is pretty hot here in the desert so I stick in the cooler for about thiry minutes, open and let it sit for about ten minutes, and I am amazed at the difference in the taste as opposed to just opening it up and drinking it...some wine just need to breath...especially robust reds...you cannot beat the price!

This is not a complex cabernet; you won't find one for less than $20. Nevertheless, there was a pleasant cherry front with a decent finish. Use as a substitute for pinot noir.

This is a cab that will give you a $10 experience for half that price. You can taste the oak and black fruits and it has a smooth finish. If you are looking for full bodied, it may not be for you but as a transition into cabernets from lesser boddied wine, it will be perfect.

definitely open it well before you want to enjoy it. Pour it and then leave it. For the price this is a really nice CS for people who enjoy them. Friends who are Merlot drinkers found it had "too much" for their tastes. I have enjoyed it as a "house wine"

Truely a joy. I purchased this wine after so many great reviews. I'll tell you that they were all right. At first opening this wine has a spicy smell. It is almost overwelhming but after about ten minutes the smell calms and relaxs. The first taste is earthy with a cherry oak flavor. The finish is long lasting. After the first swallow of this wine you know that you have made a good choice. I would absolutly recommend having this wine with a london broil on the grill, charcoal vice gas, the taste is amasing. I actually had to pause for a moment after a bite of broil and a sip of wine. Absolutely four star, I'm not disappointed and you won't be either.

I wouldn't call myself an expert wine taster, but for my money, this is the best value in the store. Barefoot has a very light texture for a Cabernet. Great buttery flavors that compliment beef very well.

I personally like this wine. It's not overly complex like most of your better cabs, but it is a nice "light" cab with pleasant blackberry aromas. It has a decent finish as well. This is one of my "Go-to" favs. I drink it as an everyday wine.

My interest is peaked. I have not tried it, but it has mixed reviews for a inexpensive wine. I once turned my nose up at a friends suggestion I stop on the way to his place and my wife and I pickup a $3.99 bottle of spaghetti red to go with dinner. I was pleasantly surprised when we uncorked it. Get back to you when I get one and change the rating for better or worse..

Excellent wine for the price, it’s competitive to wines twice the price. It’s definitely an everyday table wine. At first I likened it to a Cab Sauv that had been dimmed down, almost like the subtlety of the French, until I was struck by its strong American finish. On the second try it was a little more robust but a lot stronger borderline difficult, musty with lots of acid & cherry. My girlfriend on the other hand thoroughly enjoyed this wine from start to finish, and still does. I will continue to drink this and adjust my rating accordingly.

After the favorable reviews here I expected at least a decent wine, but when I poured this one my wife asked, "What IS this," and made a sour face. That just about sums it up.

Ice will mute the sour grape, nasty tones that this inexpensive wine contains. You get what you pay for.

A little rough for my tastes, not worth drinking. Needs to breathe before serving or the initial taste is metallic.

I totally agree with Kish11409641. My husband forced me to taste it...yuck.

This wine had no predominent flavor. It tasted similar to cooking wine, that was the only use I found for it. On the otherhand the Chardonnay is excellent for the price, it is the reason I tried the Cabernet.
