This is an excellent red wine for the price. It has an exceptional clean taste, and can be served with spicy food, as well as red meat, red sauce pasta dishes, and pizza. It's a must have for any dinner. Great wine! We will purchase again!

This is delightful red wine. I don't think it needs to be paired with food, but it is robust. The reserve is better for sure.

Chilean cabernet/sau wines are typically lighter than the California variety; however, this Anakena Cab was a nice surprise. It's rich, bold and very dry and is typical of California Cabs at $2-4 higher in price. Worth a try.

Bought 2007 Anakena this week on sale for $7.99. I will definitely enjoy the two bottles that I purchased, but would hope to be able to find a more interesting Carbernet than this, perhaps at a slightly higher price. It is definitely more drinkable than the Running With Sissors I purchased at the same time for two dollars more.

I purchased this wine for a party and it proved to be a light cabernet as the merchant described. However it was harsh/strong and dry...almost bitter. Not for drinking at a party without food.

I'm not sure if it was a bad bottle and I don't think it was the reserve, but the regular '04 vintage was barely worth the 7 or 8 bucks I paid for it. Rather sharp and harsh without much of a finish, which was good, in this case.
